product key replacement - how to?

Marta

Hi - I have a client that had to have win xp reinstalled
after a spyware computer takeover. He didn't have the
original installation disk so the person who was fixing
it installed a copy with a new "borrowed" product key.
How does he replace the "borrowed" key with a valid key?

What is the process he needs to go through? He had a
valid copy of XP before this happened.

Just trying to be legit.... Thanks for the help.

You'll need to purchase a new "Full Version" of Windows XP Pro and
proceed with a "Repair Install".
