Product Key Question on Activations Allowed

Is the Product Key limited to 10 Activations or 10 Installations?

I have 29 days to activate on each installation an sometimes the versions
are updated in less than 29 days, so why waste an activation before the end
of the period?

I think continual activations on the same PC don't count towards the total.

You may activate on ten different machines. You may reactivate on any of
those ten without decrementing the counter.
