Processor for this mobo?

I'm building a comp in a few months, and I've decided to go AMD.
I have the Asus A8V mobo, and was wondering the best chip to go
with. The Winchester core (my first thought) apparently has
difficulty with some s939 boards; other option is a Newcastle.
Any particular chip to go with? 3200+ is preferable.

Not about different types, but generally speaking. I might go with
either the low/lower or high end CPU allowed on the mainboard. That
choice depends on how much you need and how much you can afford.
Referencing the latest BIOS might help determine the fastest supported
CPU. Since your mainboard allows various types, I suspect the power
range is great.
