process hangs and cannot be killed

P

Peter

I'm running XP 64bit.
Since some time my computer has processes hanging which cannot be
killed.
I cannot reboot or log out since the process cannot be killed.
After I kill the machine by cutting the power cord everything is fine
again and after some hours the same will happen.
If I ignore this problem it will happen to more and more processes
over time.
I already stopped all non microsoft services.
I also did run a chkdsk with no result.
There is nothing interesting in the event log.
Here is what the kernel debugger gave me for one hanging process

I am having the same problem. Now having to use another computer. Wish I
had never downloaded SP3. When you find a solution please let me know.
Thanks

this seems to have been caused by the NVIDIA Quadro FX 3500 Video
driver.
I'm running in SVGA mode and since a day I'm free of problems.
