problems with yahoo messenger or pc

EVERY TIME I'M SENDING PICTURES THRU YAHOO MESSENGER
FILES TO THE OTHER PERSON MY PC GET CRAZY THEN I WANT TO
TYPE SOMETHING TO SEND IT OVER AND IT DOESN'T SHOW THE
TYPING, THE OTHER PERSON CAN SEE ONLY MY NICK NOT THE
MESSAGE.

Not sure if this will help but...

Whenever I find my yahoo starting to act up, I uninstalled all components of
it. I go into control and select add or remove program and remove all that
says yahoo. I then re-install messenger
