I have a problem with setting up programs in Internet
Options. When I open this tab I have only Notepad and
Microsoft Excel(?) for HTML editor (no Word), for e-mail -
only Hotmail, Outlook and Lotus Notes (no Outlook Express
which is my default e-mail program)and the same thing for
Calendar and Contact list drop-down menus. What can I do
to have it correctd, for I would like to have Outlook
Express as e-mail program and Word as HTML editor?

Thanks, Ramesh.
I tried solution one and it worked. However, I am still
missing from drop down menus Word as an editor (but I have
Excel), and Outlook Express as an Address Book. Is it how
it's supposed to be and if not can it be fixed?
Elvart

Elvart,

Open Registry Editor and navigate to:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.htm\OpenWithList

Create a sub-key named WINWORD.EXE
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.htm\OpenWithList\WINWORD.EXE]

Hi Ramesh,

I did what you told me to do, but still did not see Word
as an editor for HTML in a drop-down list in Internet
Explorer.
Any ideas?

Elvart,

In addition to the Openwithlist, you must also have this key:

HKEU_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\WINWORD.EXE

If that does not exist, try reparing Word / Office (depending upon the
version you use)
