Problems with printer.

Hi, I have a HP Deskjet720c, the OS is XP. When I disconnect, and reconnect
afterward the USB cable that connect the PC to the printer, I get the message
"new hardware found" and then they ask me to install the software. After I do
so, on the printing dialog box appear "HP Deskjet 720c" (which doesn't print)
and "HP Deskjet 720c (Copy 1)" (wich it print). I can I eliminate Copy1 and
making printing again. I can I also prevent this problem to occur any time I
disconnect the USB cable?

Do you use the 'safely remove hardware' option before you disconnect the
printer?
And, is there a reason why you need to unplug the printer each time you are
done using it?
