problems with Outlook Express

new PC came with Win XP - several times faults have
occurred with Outlook Express: e.g., sometimes clicking
exit and log off does not close identity window; sometimes
starting OE, either from shortcuts or even application
itself fails to open either identity log-in box or OE
window; today a new quirk - my wife had been into her
identity [not password protected] and had logged out; I
started OE, selected my identity in log-in dialogue box,
typed in p'word, clicked OK - window came up with my
wife's folders and header, but with my email address in
the accounts folder, so my messages came into her
identity, causing chaos! Anyone know what's wrong and how
to cure it? Should reinstalling OE from XP CD do the
trick, or is there something inherently wrong with the
programme??
