Problems with mail

Cathy Davis

My normal e-mail account is with Yahoo.com or sbcglobal.net, but I do have
some contacts at the new Windows mail but it won't let me send them. Can
you help me figure it out. This is the message from Errors:

The host 'yahoo' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the
server name correctly.
Subject 'Emailing: RecordsArea.com Private Members Area', Account: 'yahoo',
Server: 'yahoo', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error:
11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

Under the Tasks tab, it also states:

Tasks:Send 6 message(s) using 'yahoo'.

Status: Failed

Connection: Local Area Network

'Yahoo' is not a correct mail server name. Your other settings are not
correct either. Sounds like your ISP is the former SBC division of AT&T.
Please use the mail account settings specified by them:

The above directions are for Yahoo mail sponsored through AT&T.
If you have a separate free Yahoo account, it does not have POP
access, so it won't work with Windows Mail.
