John,
I'm not a Groove user, but it is likely that this software is the problem, if the database is
shared. The document:
http://docs.groove.net/htmldocs/guide/tools/general/documentshare/gfs3x_limitations.htm
includes the following:
Folder sharing restrictions
Groove disallows sharing the following types of folders in a file sharing workspace:
A folder on a network drive.
Interestingly, this document also includes the following paragraph:
"In addition to the file types that are specifically restricted from file sharing, there are
other types of files that may not work well in a file sharing workspace. These include file types
that have dependencies on other files in order to run properly, or files from applications that
run properly only on the computer where the application was originally installed. Examples of
these file types include Outlook PST files, Quicken Quickbook files, and Access database files.
In short, some file types are not intended to be shared on multiple computers."
Apparently the technical folk at Groove Networks are totally unaware of the multi-user capability
of JET databases opened with Access.

Has anybody experienced problems with Groove Virtual Office
http://www.groove.net/index.cfm/pagename/VirtualOffice/ and MS Access?
I think Groove installs many libraries. One of our users that had Groove
installed cannot run our Access applications now. I don't know if Groove is
the problem.
Thanks.
