Problems with FTPCLIENT

I am using FTPCLIENT.
I can Logon to the ftpserver.
I can change dir on the ftpserver.
but when ever I try to 'FTPPUTFILE" I get the following error.
"CALL TO FTPPUTFILE FAILED..(OS ERROR CODE = 0) INTERNET RESPONSE"

NOW
I can use WS_FTP PRO to log onto the ftp server and download the file in
quesiton.

Why can I not do this with FTPCLIENT?
