In Vista (new computer) as I'm typing all of a sudden some very unhelpful
windows pop up. For instance when I key an "s" a window pops up saying the
message has been saved to my drafts folder. When this happens the thing
locks up and I can't type anymore unless I backspace, and sometime that
doesn't immediately help.

This is only one example of the problem. All sorts of unbidden window pop
up advising me to do this or that.

Anyone know what’s going on?

You most possibly have a stuck Ctrl key on the keyboard, turn it over and
tap it gently on the table to remove the crumbs and muck.

Could be Spyware?

Download and install Malwarebytes from:
http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

This program needs to be updated DAILY, also run a quick scan DAILY, it only
takes a few minutes.

Did you scan with up to date AV Application?

Unless you tell us what these "unbidden" windows say, we'd be stabbing
in the dark. You may have inadvertently turned on a so-called "Ease of Access"
feature meant for handicapped people.
