Problems with e-mail

Over the course of the last week or two, occasionally, people have been
receiving my e-mails days late. In my outlook, I have an adelphia.net
address and also an account tied to a "the messagecenter.com". As a test,
about 20 minutes ago, I sent an e-mail from each account to my AOL address;
and then did the same sending them to another address I have on yet another
firm's server (that I do work for).

At AOL. as of about 20 minutes later, I quickly got the latter but not the
former (I also tried sending via the former's (adelphia's) webmail and that
fared no better). At the other firm's address, I got the former but not
the latter . All of these four e-mails were sent via Outlook.

This seems pretty bizarre. Can anyone advance an explanation that would be
likely?

Thanks much!
Dean

Things seem to have healed themselves now - seems like it was an adelphia
(now Time Warner) problem though I'm not sure why the non adelphia address
seemed to have been a little squirrelly too. Initially, turning off AVG
scanning seemed to help, but the problem, remained on adelphia, still. So,
perhaps, the AVG was the problem for the non-adelphia address.

Thanks
