problems with Cobian Backup 7 ??

I just updated to version 7 of Cobian Backup , and it doesn't seem
to work as an application at all, so I reinstalled it as a service ,
now it works but not as incremental backup only full backup........
also it doesn't have a balloon showing it's working ....... I went back
to version 6. -- I'm running XP home on a 64 bit system --
I was wondering if any of you had a similar experience ?
