problems while surfing

Hi all,

Some web sites "appear" to be unreachable from internet browser (no matter
which, I tried IE 6.0 and Linux RedHat browser too), I say "appear" because
I can ping them, and they respond to HTTP requests (I've sniffed packets on
my LAN and I can see HTTP session with remote servers), but I can not
retrive "index.html" or the main web page. Here there is an example:

No. Time Source Destination Protocol Info
17 5.156575 checco.mshome.net www.virgilio.it TCP [TCP
ZeroWindow] 4745 > http [RST] Seq=0 Ack=0 Win=0 Len=0
18 5.166417 checco.mshome.net www.virgilio.it TCP 4748
http [SYN] Seq=0 Ack=0 Win=55168 Len=0
21 5.239123 www.virgilio.it checco.mshome.net TCP http
4748 [SYN, ACK] Seq=0 Ack=0 Win=5840 Len=0
22 5.239198 checco.mshome.net www.virgilio.it TCP 4748
http [ACK] Seq=0 Ack=1 Win=513920 Len=0
23 5.239693 checco.mshome.net www.virgilio.it HTTP
GET/HTTP/1.1
24 5.339175 www.virgilio.it checco.mshome.net TCP http
4748 [ACK] Seq=1 Ack=461 Win=6432 Len=0
25 5.349154 www.virgilio.it checco.mshome.net HTTP
HTTP/1.1 302 Found
26 5.349842 checco.mshome.net www.virgilio.it HTTP
GET/home/index.html HTTP/1.1
39 7.843784 checco.mshome.net www.virgilio.it HTTP [TCP
Retransmission] GET /home/index.html HTTP/1.1
40 7.938760 www.virgilio.it checco.mshome.net TCP [TCP
Previous segment lost] http > 4748 [ACK] Seq=3497 Ack=937 Win=7504 Len=0

....and the connection ends.
This happens only while surfing to certain web sites. Others are clearly
reachable and http page are normally retrived.
I really do not know where the problem is. I contacted my ISP and asked if
there are some filters on HTTP connection but the answer was obviously "no".
So, anyone has an explication?
Thanx,

Francesco
