Problems starting Image Composer

K

Karsten Andersen

Hi,

This question concerns the program Image Composer that came along with
FrontPage up to FP2000.

I have suddenly got the problem that I can't start Image Composer. Instead I
get the following error massage (translated from Danish).

The System-DLL kernel32.dll has been relocated in the memory. The program
will not run correctly. The relocation occurred because the DLL
C:\WINNNT\system32\MPR.dll used the address area that was reserved for
Windows DLL-files. The supplyer of this DLL should be contacted for a new
DLL-file.

I've got the problem on both of my PC's - both running Windows 2000 (Danish
edition). My virus program is always updated. I have made extraordinary
virus scans, but nothing was found.

My suspicion is that the problem started after I had installed the latest
updates for my Windows 2000 via Windows Update.

Do anybody have the same experience ?

Do somebody have ideas for how to fix the problem ?

Regards,

Karsten Andersen

I found the solution to the problem - it was a Windows Hotfix (824141) that
had to be removed!
