For some reason when I use my mouse to page down, each
click causes it to page down two pages instead of one
like it use to. Can anyone tell me how to rectify this?

I will name my first born after you...

Thanks, Ron

Go into the Mouse control panel. Start/Control Panel/Printers and other
Hardware/Mouse. What you find there will depend on the mouse you have
installed. But go through the various settings, and you'll find one where
you can change how far down it scrolls. Or, you may find that you are
actually "clicking" twice, because the double-click sensitivity is set too
high.

It's a side effect of the latest critical update, 824145. There have been
many threads about this here and elsewhere. I believe it has been tracked
down to a specific .dll file. Microsoft is supposed to be aware of the
problem.

At this point the only way to fix it is to uninstall that update.

Hi,

there might be 2 reasons.

1. The clicking interval might be set too low so that it
intreprets a double click instead of a click and hence 2
pages.

2. There might be a setting in Mouse controls which lets
u specify how much to scroll when u use that button. set
it to one page.
