Problems Saving Images

Hey Everbody,
I have Problems with saving images from websites I vist.
I have Windows XP Professional and am using the Internet
Explorer that came with it. Now for some reason when I
try to save a picture, the only file type I can save it
as is as a bitmap *.bmp*. No other options are avaliable
to me in the file type drop down?! This hasn't happened
in the past, it only started happening recently. Is there
anything anyone can suggest?

Any help is greatly appreciated

The usual fix is to clear your cache.
IE-Tools-Internet Options-Delete Files (in the TIF section)

That seems to work about 98% of the time but if it doesn't, close IE
and reopen and do it again. Also it has been reported that clear
cookies helps, but ensure you save any that you need.
