Problems saving current security configuration to template

I use the command:

secedit /export /cfg
c:\winnt\security\templates\current.inf

But when I then compare my current settings to the
current.inf they are not identical so it did not export
and backup all my current settings in Win2k and in WinXP
it did not backup any.

Any ideas why ?
 
I have not tested that out myself, but I did notice that you did not specify
a database file for the /export parameter. You might try using the path to
secedit.sdb to see what you get. Otherwise open Local Security Policy and
export either local or effective policy to a template. --- Steve
