problems opening one web site, on box with several sites

I have several different sites on my web server. I also
have site server installed on this box. Site server is
used a membership tool for one of these sites, but I also
use it as authoring security for some of the other sites.

I can open all my sites through FP, except one.

The site I am having problems opening is the site that
uses SS for membership. This site is also a secure
site. Now I can map a drive to this server, and pull up
the website with the drive no problem. So I have a hard
time believing it has anything to do with SE on the
server, but when I type the address https://... I get the
error that the server could not complete my request and
to check that SE are installed. I click on the details
button and there are no details. I have removed and re-
installed the sever extensions for this site a couple of
times and have run the check server extension tasks
several times, but with no success.

I don't think it is a specific version of front page, I'm
running FP2002 and a couple of my co-workers (who have
the same problem) are running FP2k.

Any suggestions at all?

Under IIS MMC have you set the extensions for the specific web to use Port
443 (SSL)?

I'm not sure what you mean. Under the properties in the
IIS MMC, there is a server extension tab. In here you
can check the box to required SSL for authoring. I have
tried toggling this option with no success.

If that's not where you set it, please let me know. The
server is w2k, IIS 5

Under properties for the web, Advanced and add another entry for SSL.

If that doesn't work, suggest you post to the Windows Server newsgroup.

Gotcha. Yep that's already in there. Thank you!
