Problems after upgrade to XP

My computer has some problems after upgrade to XP from Windows-ME.
Any help appreciated.

1. The sounds on several of my applications are delayed. I tried
uninstalling the sound card driver, but that didn't solve the problem.
I'm thinking I need more memory on my computer. Perhaps XP needs
more memory than ME? I have 128 MB installed. If I need more memory,
how do I figure out what kind of memory chips to buy?

2. Applications are slower to load. I suspect this is also memory.

3. The fast user switching function worked fine when I initially
converted a few days ago, but at some point it stopped working. When
I go to control panel to change it, I get the following message:

A recently installed program has disabled the Welcome screen and
Fast User
Switching. To restore these features, you must uninstall the
program. The
following file name might help you identify the program that made
the
change: CSGina.dll.

I did a search on "CSG" but it didn't help identify the program. I
then renamed "CSGina.dll" to "CSGina.dllold", but then my computer
wouldn't even boot up. So I booted in safe mode and changed the name
back.

Is there a way to restore fast user switching other than the control
panel way?

I suppose I could uninstall everything I've installed since I upgraded
to Windows XP.

Yes you need more memory 128 is not enough for XP to roar.
Do a search on the internet for the .dll file in question
and while your at it find a program called Aida32ee and
download this free diagnostic program to help ID the
memory on your board.

csgina.dll is used with some 3rd party VPN software packages.

Thank-you for telling me that. I uninstalled the VPN Client on my
computer and it fixed the problem.

Unfortunately, I now have no VPN.

Add more memory, at least double, 512mb or more if your motherboard
can handle it.

Thank-you. I used the web site you pointed me to to order 512 megs.
