Problems accessing a FTP folder (Windows XP Pro SP2)

Hello,

I'm using Windows XP Professional SP2 and I think there's a block somewhere
in my FTP access I can't find.

What happens?
I log in at my FTP account (tried it with three different FTP clients). The
login works well. Then I try to change into public_html folder and at this
point every used FTP software stops at a log message "PWD". Nothing more
happens.

I tried the same with another FTP account on the same hosting server and it
worked well. I also tried my FTP account from another computer and it also
worked.

So I guess somewhere in my Windows XP system there's a block of exactly this
URL with exactly this public_html folder but I can't find it. Does anyone
have an idea where and how I could find this annoying block?

Here some more maybe helpful information:
- Windows XP firewall is disabled
- I'm using a neatgear router with standard settings (Port 21 ist open for
FTP communication)
- eTrust Antivirus is running

Thanks in advance for any help

Regards
Harry

Hmm... public_html... Apache? Check with your hosting company as it's
seemingly just limited to that one account. If the same server lets you in
with one account with no problem and the problem is limited to only that one
account then chances are the issue's not with your OS but rather with the
server itself.
