Problem with XP MDE and Access 2003?

I have encountered strange issues when using Access XP, I created an MDE file
and then running Access 2003 to open the MDE file, I got all kinds of
problems from dialog boxes that say that certain functions are invalid to a
form that totally could not display the records, and one of my reports' field
showed up as #Name?

However, when I run Access 2003 and open the non-MDE version of it, it is
OK. Of course, running Access XP with the MDE it created has no problems. Is
there some caveats or things I have to do before coverting the mdb to an mde
file for Access 2003? Thanks.

Just a guess on my part, but when you created the MDE in 2003 it
finalized some of the code and now XP does not understand that code as it is
newer than XP

Sounds like a references problem.

Do you have any references besides the basic three? Are you sure you
need them? Write down the path and name of the extra ones, delete
from the references list and Compile and Save All. Keep any
necessary references and ensure they are distributed to the target
system.

Ctrl+G will take you into the Debug/Immediate window. Then click on
Tools on the menu bar and References.

2000 format are:
Visual Basic for Applications
Microsoft Access 10.0 Object Library
OLE Automation
Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 2.1 Library
