Problem with Windows Update

So much for this security feature to be sure and have your auto-update
feature engaged for Windows Update.

As of Dec. 14 there were 4 new security updates and one critical update for
Windows XP SP2. Not only did my auto-update feature of Windows update NOT
downlowd these updates but I tried to manually update them from the Windows
update page and on EVERY occasion the updates failed to download for two
consecutive days. I finally had to go to Microsoft web page and download
these security updates manually one-by-one.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem because Microsoft certainly isn't
saying anything about this problem.

Hi

You don't specify which particular Updates or any error messages that you
may have seen?

Have you tried posting your Q to the Windows Update News Group:

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windowsupdate or
http://aumha.org/nntp.htm

James;
There are a great many things that can cause many different problems.
Without details it is impossible to give you an answer.
Exact error message
What updates
Exactly what happens during the process
Etc

The Windows Update Checklist may help if you have problems in the future:

Let's get out the crying towel for James.
