Hi:

Whenever I open word XP I get the following message:

The macros in the project are disabled. Please refer to
the online help or documentation of the host application
to determine how to enable macros.

FYI; I have norton system works 2003 on my system. I went
into word, tools, macros security and the security level
is high and the message is still popping up. I am not a
geek so please provide me with some helpful info in plain
english so I can get this messge to go away.

thanks

sue

First of all, you need to change the Macro Security level to Medium. This
will allow Word to show you a dialog allowing you to enable macros if you
desire. Then you need to find out where the macro messages are coming from.
If it's from add-ins in Word's Startup folder, then you can eliminate the
message (and allow the macros to run) by checking the box for "Trust all
installed templates and add-ins" on the Trusted Sources tab of Tools | Macro
| Security. Unfortunately, this won't help for add-ins in the Office Startup
folder.
