Problem with using contacts to send email

S

spudtheimpaler

I have used a pst file on a seperate machine to update the contacts and
i can not get the outlook installation to recognise these contacts when
sending email. For example i have joe bloggs as a contact with an email
address. If i then write a new email and type in joe bloggs as the
recipient the new message doesn't recognise the name - even when the
check contact button is pressed.

I have tried a number of ways of inputting my contacts into outlook,
ranging from using a pst file as a backup from outlook (Was on my
laptop) to my new installation (Which is on my pc) to forwarding an
email to myself with each contact as a vCard. Neither of these have
worked. I have all the contacts in my contact folder however its as
though outlook is unaware of their existence.

This may help: Clicking on the address book button gives an error
message. I know the address book is only a viewscreen of sorts, but
the error message says
"The address list can not be displayed. The contacts folder associated
with this address list could not be opened. May be moved
deleted......... "

Any help would be appreciated.

Kind regards,

Mitch.
