I am running Win XP Home. I have setup user IDs for
various family members. A few weeks ago one of these IDs
dtopped appearing on the Welcome screen and in the user
accounts control panel dialog. However is if I try to
create the ID I get a message that the ID allready exists.
In addition when I disable the Welcome screen the user is
able to log in. When the user goes to the user accounts
dialog while logged in his account is lists as a guest
account. So there is something major wrong with the
account since the only options in the account types dialog
are admin and limited. What do I need to do to fix this?

Open Computer Mangement in the Administrtive Tools folder, go to the
Local Users and Groups then to Users and double click his ID. On the
Member Of tab make sure Guest is not listed, only Users group should
be there...
