Problem with the Views button

In the Standard button where you can do numerous tasks, there is the Views
button where you can see your files or pictures different way such as
Thumbnails, Tiles, Icons, List, Details. I wants to know how to save the one
I choose "Thumbnails" because when I close My Pictures or My Documents folder
and I re-open it, it shows me the pictures or files with a different one.
Sometime it is Tiles or Icons or List or Details.
