Not sure if this is the right forum but...
I have a number of VB6 programs which contain controls which use tabctl32.ocx.
When these programs are run in Vista "as administrator" they fail with
"tabctl32.ocx or dependency is missing or not registered".
I have done the following:
Tried re-copying various versions of the file, registering each time using
Regsvr32.
Tried re-installing Visual Studio SP6
Tried adding the control to my project under "project, components". A
message states "unable to load tabctl32.ocx.
Checked permissions are at least "read" to everyone on tabctl32.ocx.
Generated an application installer containing this file and enabling
registration, and run the install.
Note the app works perfectly on XP and also works when not run as an
administrator in Vista (although one function of the app needs admin rights
on first run so I need to be able to run as admin if needed).
I have run out of ideas!
