Problem with tab page colour

I'm trying to add 2 tabs to an existing form, the problem I'm having
is that the tab pages have no colour, I can change the colour of the
form but the tab pages remain white, I've looked in the properties for
the tabs but there doesn't seem to be an option to set or change the
background colour, the tabs are set to visible and normal in the
properties, what am I doing wrong ?.

i'm guessing that you're using Windows XP. (even if you're aren't) try the
following: from the database window, on the menu bar, click Tool | Options
| Forms/Reports tab. remove the checkmark from the option "Use Windows
Themed Controls on Forms".
