Hi there,

I'm having a problem with the commercial at @. I can't type it with
AltGr+2. The computer is a Dell Precision M70 with Windows XP SP2,
portuguese layout.

Things that I'm sure:
- I think It's not a hardware problem, already tried 3 external
keyboards.
- I think It's not a key problem. Tem key 2 and " works fine.
- I think It's not a regional settings problem. Everything is
correctly setup, portuguese, portugal, codepages, etc.

I have tried to boot with DOS and CD based LINUX just for testing, and
the ALTGR+2 works fine.
PS: CTRL+ALT+2 doesn't work either.

Anyone with the same problem, any suggestion?

Thanks.

What happens when you do this:
- Open notepad.exe (or MS Word)
- Hold down the Alt key
- Type 0064 on your numeric keypad
- Release the Alt key

You can do it with the Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator
(http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/tools/msklc.mspx). It
takes a little practice to use the program successfully, so post
again if you need more assistance.

Thanks Pegasus, you give me the only solution to my problem, searched
everywhere, you saved me.
It was really easy to setup a new Portuguese Custom layout, I was
unable to use the ALTGR+2, but I manage to assign the @ to the altgr+4
key, since I don't really need that symbol.

Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the feedback - glad you succeeded so quickly. There
appears to be something wrong with the way Windows processes
your keyboard signals, seeing that Alt+4 works but Alt+2 does not.
