problem with saving pictures

When I want to save a picture to my harddisk, I can only
save them in .bmp
Does anyone knows how I can change this back in .jpg?

The usual fix is to clear your cache.
IE-Tools-Internet Options-Delete Files (in the TIF section)

That seems to work about 98% of the time but if it doesn't, close IE
and reopen and do it again. Also it has been reported that clear
cookies helps, but ensure you save any that you need.

rename file after saved. change only the extension.
this works for me all the time.
