I have Canon ip4000 and S520 inkjet printers.
Both are working very well.
But I have a problem with printing pdf file on S520.
With S520, printed pdf files are in greek to me.
I installed the latest driver for Canon S520. But I could not print pdf.
Could someone advise me how to fix printing pdf files?
TIA. Narusato

Hi, you can print PDF files from adobe acrobat reader.
You need to have the printer drivers installed though.
As a check if you can print correctly from any application then it
would seem that the drivers are installed.
Goto the printer contol section and select the canon ip4000 and try
printing a test page, if it prints as text that you can read then it
would seem that the drivers are functioning properly. If not then
remove the printer and re-install.
Check what version of adobe reader you have, you should have anything
greater than version 5.0, the current version is 7.02

I also own ip4000 and old Epson (discarded long ago) which print pdf file
without any problem.
S520 is the only one which do not print.

I think that there is an inherent problem with S520. I would like to hear
from those who printed pdf files with S520.
I have done many times uninstall/re-install the driver but in vain.
I recently got an updated driver from Canon website.
That did not help either.

Again, I have no problem printing the same pdf file from ip4000.

If it prints all other files correctly, I'd say it was a problem with Adobe
software.
