Problem with .oft files

I give up! I created a system at the beginning of last year which has been
working without a problem until now. I have created an HTML document which
provides a list of hyperlinks to .oft files stored in a separate folder.
These .oft files are just a plain email message with the "text messaging"
email address already completed for all the people in this company. Up until
now, I have been able to simply open the .oft file by double clicking on the
hyperlink in the HTML doc. This opens the .oft in Outlook, so I could then
fill in a message, and "send" to whomever the the .oft was already addresed
to. As far as I am aware, nothing has changed on this computer, however, if I
double click on one of these same hyperlinks now, a blank email message opens
with the .oft ATTACHED to it. Any ideas please. Any help would be great!
Thanks
Sue

what url format do you use?

if the only thing in the oft is the address, either use mailto's or the
address switch with the standard form. See help for more info on the switch.

Thank you Diane. I am loathe to change anything other than on my local
computer, as the HTML document is shared through the network to about 5 other
computers, which all work just fine. The problem is only with MY computer,
and has only just begun. Can you suggest a setting in Outlook perhaps that
might allow the .oft file to open rather than be ATTACHED to the email?

Thanks very much for any help.
Sue
