Problem with offline files?

I have a problem with offline files on a XP client, that log on a SBS
2003 R2.
I activate offline files on the client and select a folder to be used
offline, and the folder synchronizes with the SBS.
When the XP client goes offline (restarts without connection with the
SBS) the offline files are deactivated.
There are no policies, concerning offline files..
What to do?

When you say deactivated, what exactly do you mean, are they missing from the
folder or not accessible? Do you get an error message of some kind in the
event viewer or on screen?

Event log errors?

Hi

With deactivated I mean, Explore-->Tools-->Folder Options-->Offline
Files, activate offline files the check box is not marked.
I Can´t find any event log errors, on the client or the server.

If I am understanding you correctly, the box is not checked, therefore the
offline files feature will not work. I may be missunderstanding you though.
