Problem with MSWORD

Hi i am having a problem with MSWORD.when i click the
WORD icon it is taking 1 minute to open a blank
document.i donno why is it behaving so.all the other
applications are very fast on my XP PRO except this
MSWORD.is there anything that i could do to solve the
problem.pls lemme know if any.

Hello Chad,

Have you tried updating your Office System for the latest updates.

And still fails, try reinstalling Microsoft Word.

Try searching for and deleting the file called normal.dot. That is the standard template Word uses when it opens, and corruption to it can cause problems such as what you describe.

Hi,

If you have any anti-virus softwares installed, try
disabling them and then try opening Word.

Also try the steps suggested in the Microsoft Knowledge
