When I double click on Add/Remove Programs on the Control
Panel, I get a message the the mshta.exe file has caused
an error. I found a possible fix, but it requires you to
have the Windows 2000 Professional CD. I don't have the
CD because I bought the computer used. Any ideas?

Without the Windows 2000 CD-ROM how can you possible run sfc (SystemFileChecker). We all need to do that once in a while. In your case I would return your version of Microsoft Internet Explorer back to a previous version; install again your current Service Pack; reinstall your version of IE you want. But of course I would have thrown run sfc in here but since you don't have the CD-ROM....
