Problem with MS Flight Sim 2004 / Headset

Hi

I made a post a few days ago ("automatic restarts"), but decided to rewrite
my post, being a bit more specific.

When I play FS2004 (have no probs with my other games), and I start a new
flight, my PC automaticly restarts. I've enabled the blue-screen-reporting,
and I get the following error message (excluding all the "Windows needs to
restart..."-jabber, etc.):

BAD_POOL_HEADER

I should mention that I started having this problem after buying a new 5.1
Surround Sound Headset. Also, the problem only occurs after I am fisicly "in
the sim" (not at selection screens, etc.). Sometimes, I can play for about 1
minute or so, then I get the blue-screen.

I have tried re-installing all my drivers, but as I am currently abroad, I
do not have my Install-CD's of FS2004 here, only my Play-Disk. Therefore, I
cannot re-install FS2004.

I have also checked for any hardware conflicts (as the Troubleshooter
suggests), but found no "Exclamation Marks" or "Question Marks" beside the
device names.

Has anybody got any idea what the problem could be? Please help!!!

Thank you

Johannes

Got it solved!

If anyone out there uses a Speed-Link Medusa 5.1 Mobile Edition headset, and
has problems with Flight Simulater, download the alternative driver from
Speed-Link's website. This will solve the problem (thought it would help
future users).

We experienced same problem. Solved upgrading onboard sound card driver
(AsRock MB)
Now works fine.
Seems it has troubles, then, with audio devices.
