I have word set to be my email editor and each time I try to email I get a
message that word is unavailable and an "OLE registration error occurred" I
have uninstalled and reinstalled Office and it did not fix the problem.

You cannot use Word with Outlook unless they are the same version. Could that
be the problem?

Yes they are the same version. The are both from Office 2003 and I have
always used word with my outlook but I lost and ntldr file this past weekend
and so I had to reinstall my applications and this is one error I havent been
able to fix.

I have exactly the same problem. It just began, and all I can think of to
connect it with is downloading the most recent junk filter & patch. I am
using Office 2003.

"Repair" & "reinstallation" (at least from the hard disk cache) have not
solved the problem.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I fixed it by going to Start, Run, then type regsvr32 ole32.dll and press ok.
This fixed it for me so hopefully you have the same luck.

Wonderful -- all fixed. Wonder what brought it about in the first place.
Thanks so much for your help.
