Hello,

I am an intern trying to finish a report on Excel... it uses an
sumproduct formula at one point which refers to data on another
workbook on the company server.

The formula works fine when the linked worbook is open on my computer.
But when I only open my REPORT workbook I get a REF error. I already
saved the linked workbook in the excel 2002 format and the path looks
perfect so that's not the pb....any suggestions?

Thank you very much for your help

I just tried a simple sumproduct formula and closed the workbook. The formula
continued to evaluate correctly (I hit F2 and then enter so excel recalculated
it).

Maybe it's not the =sumproduct() function that's the problem. You may want to
post your formula.

You may want to step through the formula (tools|formula Auditing|evaluate
formula) to see if you're references are really what you think they are.
