Problem with line width when converting Word document into pdf for

I'm using cutePDF to convert my Word document (Word 2003) into pdf format.
The problem is that some lines (the borders of tables and diagrams for
example)
appears to be much thicker in pdf than in Word.

Can someone tell me does this problem arise from Word settings or cutePDF and
how to fix it?

What does it look like in Print Preview when the Cute PDF driver is set as
the active printer?
Try PrimoPDF instead and see if that manages any better.

In print preview everything looks fine when cutePDF is the active printer.

I have no right to install any software on my pc so I hope that thre is a
solution to
the problem but thank you for telling me about the PrimoPDF. I have never
heard about it.

If all looks OK, have you tried to continue to create the PDF with CutePDF
remaining as active printer?

If it still doesn't work, I suspect that the issue may be a limitation in
the CutePDF conversion to the graphical format that is PDF. Do however check
the settings in the driver and if necessary check out the problem with
CutePDF support.

If the document is not commercially sensitive send it to the link on the
home page of my web site and I'll see how it converts with other conversion
tools. If it is commercially sensitive, delete the text and leave just the
errant tables and borders.
