I saw a question in the Word Discussion group about Word 2003 and Outlook
2003. The reply was to Post the question in the Outlook Discussion.
Now I see a similar question in the Outlook Discussion with the reply to
Post the question in the Word Discussion Group?????
Come on, for some reason Microsoft Office 2003 has Word and Outlook so
integrated that when one has a problem the other is affected also, especially
when using Exchange Server 2003 for Email.
So, where do I post a question about the problem I have with Word 2003 which
might be being caused by Outlook 2003????
I have a new XP2 Pro work Station which received an error from Outlook 2003
requiring the system to Restart. After the system restarted I now have a
definite problem with Word 2003 that is somehow integrated with Outlook 2003.
Word will start up and after about 20 seconds gives the error message that
it has caused a "System Error and must be shut down."
I have McAfee Managed Anti-Virus, did the spyware, BHO and other scans with
no problem software found loaded. Did an uninstall and re-install of the
Office 2003 application and still have the same problem.
I hooked up an old machine with XP2 Pro and Office 2000. With this machine
the same login gave me an undefined and lock-up problem with Outlook and Word
worked fine. The only problem was, when I restarted this machine Oulook had
disappeared?
There must be something from Outlook or the Exchange Server which is
crashing my Word 2003.
Thanks for the help.
