problem with images

I have an image created for a Dell Latitude D400. I
image the machines and then setup profiles for the
users. Then I log in as the user and modify their
settings. The problem I am having is this: when logged
in as them, I right click on the desktop and it freezes
and doesn't do anything. It will make you reboot. I
searched microsoft's knowledgebase and they suggested
deleting a registry key and let itself recreate. That
worked for about a day then the machines started freezing
again. any suggestions?
