problem with html files..

hello..i have one problem with the internet explorer.when i try to open
pages with
the htm extensions ,i have the warning :

explorer.EXE - Aplication error
the instruction at "0x70dcf39f"referenced memory at "0x0000000000".the
memory could not be "read"

click on ok to terminate the program
click on cansel to debug the program

is it serious problem??
how i can fix it??
