problem with hotmail and outlook password rejected

This is the message that appears.....how do I get rid of it and do this
correctly ?There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password
was rejected. Account: 'Hotmail', Server: 'pop.charter.net', Protocol: POP3,
Server Response: '-ERR invalid user name or password.', Port: 110,
Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

You can't use a Hotmail username/password to access Charter's POP server.
You must use your Charter username/password to get mail from Charter's
servers/
