Problem with fields and labels in design

While in design view, I add a field to a form. It appears with a label.

How do I disconnect the label from the field in order to modify the form. I
don't seem to be able to ungroup.

One way is to click the label and delete it. Then add a new unbound label
from your toolbox.

two methods I know of

1. select the lable and delete, and then create a lable.
2. Cut the lable (Ctrl + x) and then paste it back to the form (Ctrl + v),
it will seperate it from the text box

You should be able to cut it, and then paste it back onto the form. That
way, if you've customized it at all, you don't lose all that work.
