Hi!

I have a problem with Windows Explorer in my Windows 2000 Professional (SP4)
OS. Sometimes it holds some handles to folders after deleting any data, so I
couldn't delete empty folder or safely remove my Rundisk (I should manually
kill processes, but it is not a good solution, I guess...).
What is the reason and tip for it?

Best regards!
Greg

If you are going to delete the folder after deleting the files, save the
step and just delete the folder instead of opening it and "creating" the
"Open handles" that are slowing you down!

Hi Greg,

This is just a thought, may help, may not.

Are you opening the folder, deleting the contents, and then trying to
delete the folder *from the folders list on the left hand side*? Try
clicking up one level in the folders list, so that the folder you wish
to delete is in the right hand pane, and then try to delete it from
there.

Cheers,

Cliff
