Problem with Excel, appears to be anchored

After I click on any cell that becomes an "anchor Point". I cannot g
anywhere else without it appearing to be selecting all cells that th
cursor goes over. Clicking on another cell does nothing.

I cannot close down the program or do anything else withou
Ctrl-Alt-Del

try touching the F8 key

Hi
maybe your extended mode is enabled. Try hitting F8 to toggle between
the modes.
