Hi folks,

I had just installed windows 2000 pro with sp3 and fully
loaded with patches. I wanted to find out the used
capacity of all my drives by right click on the selected
drive -> properties. I should get the windows with the
pie chart to display my drive used and free capacity but I
do not the this windows.

I fully scanned for virus & using symantec antivirus 8.0
corporate edition + norton internet security. There were
no virus found.

What did I miss? How can I configure so I could get the
property windows?

Thanx in advance.

I'm on SP4 and had this problem. Resolved by installing SP4 again. The
reinstall would hang half way until I made sure that the virus checker and
firewall were stopped (disconnect computer from network).

I did installed SP4 and the installation was smooth. I
also turned off firewall & virus were stopped. I made
sure that I installed SP4 twice but the problem is still
not resolved.

Any other suggestions?

Thanx in advanced.

Nope I was not in the "Safe Mode". I just booted the
windows in regular mode.

Any other suggestions?

Thanx

That was my suggestion, boot the machine into safe mode and see if you have
the display there. If you do, it might be something third party
interferring with the GUI.
