Problem with CPU Usage graph

My system configuration is
AMD athlon XP2000
256 DDR RAM
40GB HDD

and i am using WindowsXP Prof. Edition
for some time now i have been noticing that
when i check my CPU Usage graph i see system working
normally on different level of % but the graph is now
showing a red line also as if the system has reached its
maximum capacity even at 11% usage.

this has been happening for a couple of months or soo.
Is there a problem with some settings or something????
 
When your system works OK then don t see blabla cpu usage or somthing??
 
Sounds like the parameters for that aspect of perfmon got
goofed up.
go in (right click on running perfmon and pick properties)
and adjust stuff till it loox normal again.
